UPDATE Title

In January 2018, MIT ReACT Hub launched its first program in Jordan with a certificate in Computer and Data Science. The first class of students is progressing through the online learning portion of the program, mastering MIT edX courses in Computer Science and Data Analytics. As ReACT students are beginning their professional paid internships, we are gearing up to launch another application period for this certificate program, starting September 2018.

Who should apply to the MIT ReACT Certificate Programs?

Refugees or displaced people who apply should be:

  • registered as refugees, asylees, or displaced people with a UN agency or the appropriate local government agency
  • proficient in English: to succeed in the program, a TOEFL Internet-based score of 90 (577 paper-based) or equivalent is recommended
  • have advanced math skills and/or programming skills

Applicants will take free online maths and English fluency tests in order to be considered for  the program.

We seek to identify talented refugees, motivated self starters who strive  for excellence; individuals who are looking to work hard, learn as individual and part of a team, want to push their own growth, and who will appreciate both the rigor of the MIT experience and the opportunity to engage with like-minded students, as well as the MIT community.
